FANTASTIC FALL -fashion

FALL IS OFFICIALLY HERE!

Some of us get into the fall mood and bring out our warmer clothing. I personally love the fall season, more and more.  The cooler temperatures and fresh mornings just rejuvenate me.  So I am hoping to make use of my fall wardrobe , but perhaps there are a few things to add to it.

Some of my favourites are knitwear, whether a sweater, top or dress , knits are super comfortable.

TRENDS  love or hate them

Wild Animals
The seasons trend  are all about ANIMAL prints, yes they are back again, Leopard, snake, or zebra print.  I adore the leopard prints and see so many designer have incorporated it with other prints, i.e. plaids with leopard. Micheal Kors is one example.  I admit i had a thing for leopard, but only few pieces, a coat, a handbag  and pair of shoes ( killer heels, dangerous to walk in)  but would not wear all together, more as a accent only.  The purse with a simple pant suit or black dress,  heels with the LBD and so forth.
So are you into to animal prints?

The wild WESTERN LOoK
another style that is back, the boots and perhaps a few other pieces. Can't say I am big on a western look. A look that reminds me of stampede time is well not really my style.

But that being said, a nice belt with metal design would be okay to wear with a pant suit  over a denim dress or the animal print skirts.

My style of western: skirt, belt and ankle boot, top.

PUFF jackets
another style that seems always around come fall winter. A good option for some, again not for me really, Don't need the extra puff.

CAPES
want one of those, the simplicity and ease to wear looks so great.  Size, shape and length is important to take into consideration , to long  on a short person  looks like you are drowning in fabric, So find the right length and style for you.

WIDE SHOULDERS
HMMM 80s again, no thanks, don't care for then or now, reminds me of football players.

FAUX FURS
DEFINITELY!  Save the life of a small animal and wear faux.  Faux furs have come a long way. from the old days,  the look and feel of them is truly amazing , almost  hard to tell if real or not.
A faux collar   or coat is a piece that certainly last one years.   So a good time to buy a coat that looks
dressy and stylish with most any outfit.

FRINGES
glamorous gowns were seen with the fringes  looks lovely when ones moves  , so if you plan to go dancing get a fringe dress,    If not a party look, it looks nice on a skirt or small purse.  might be an idea.

NEONS
not again 90s thing  , retro fashion, but i found it a eyesore really,
No go for me.

PLAIDS OR CHECKS

a fall staple and never ever seems out of date,   shoes gloves or purses are a simple way to add some
plaid to ones wardrobe,

SILVER and SEQUINS
silver for me is like a neutral it goes well with most any color and looks chic with the right outfit,  a navy piece, black , reds etc,
Sequins  are made for fashion and I adore sparkly things,  but not extreme a black top or the LBD is more then enough,   If looking for accents a shoe or purse will be nice too.

PJs anyone??
seems it is okay these days to wear your pjs outside.
Some okay but i am sitting on the fence , some tops are lovely or maybe a nice pant - but not
so keen on this. I guess its about ones comfort zone.

Would you wear PJs out in the store?

KNITWEAR
YESSSSS that is more suitable for fall time and its practical-

So there are some things on my list for the fall.

What are some of your fall favourites or needed items?

WESTWOOD life// Fashion, mode, punk looks

CELEBRATE PUNK DESIGNER JUST THIS month it was Vivienne Westwood's 80th birthday. The fashion designer who brought PUNK fashions to the forefront. Her designs were over the top , colourful, eccentric and I think abit wild.  She still is designing and even some of her designs were part of the Life ball held here in the past, she also designed the costumes for the ballet performance for New years.  Known for her flaming orange reddish hair , bold clothes - she is a woman of her times, the punk era of UK. A look at some of designs and her style. tamer looks  images, vogue , runway magazine,

CAMOUFLAGE STYLES// Fashion, designer

SOMETHING DIFFERENT  I have to say I love color and prints, and when I saw the work of this Kenyan photographer Thandiwe Murui ,  I was in AWE.   Such vibrant prints that make a statement . The  prints or the checkerboard are definitely eye- catching. ( I happen to have a checkerboard top  that I wear as a coverup)  This might not be for everyones taste, but sometimes it is fun to be a bit wilder! THE SWIRLS  love this print and the colour combination . Vibrant and fun! A MOD- FLORAL this print that looks like a Sunflower is perfect for  summer. INSTAGRAM REAL STARS?

WONDER IF SHE IS REAL? How many people follow their favourite instagram and feel perhaps this is what a real person looks like and maybe lives like. I am not talking celebrities like Rihanna or Kardashians  or any of the other major celebrities . I am not a big follower of instagram, but for those that are there are a few surprises  such as one very popular Instagram Star is actually a virtual reality image, not a REAL person. These computer generated images look so real that people are actually thinking it is  a real person. Something strange about that , if someone is able to fool people in such a way  Firstly it is not stated this is not a real person    This to me is funny. with all the talk about fake news  etc. So why is it allowed to have computer generated images allowed to be part of?  Okay  maybe its like following a cartoon hero, i.e. SUPERMAN or WONDERWOMAN - but this we know are only characters not REAL PEOPLE. These so called stars  gorgeous , flawless and h
