THE GREAT GIFT HUNT🔎🔎🔎

Most of us will get those warm slippers , socks or pjs for gifts. Things we all need and most likely want for Christmas. I know I would love  a new lounge set or nightwear!

 For our family its hard to know what to get them, most have all the things but sometimes it nice to get a little creative . I think its great to magazine subscriptions to a favourite magazine. 


GIFT IDEAS FOR THE HARD TO GET

 So if someone you know loves to travel then  a travel magazine is an option, one like Conde Naste is a good one,  or the National Geographic magazines. Beauty or fashion magazines for the fashion lover.  Sporty types might like to see the latest in gym gadgets  and techno types  a techno magazine. The choices are endless.

 For those that love music , perhaps concert tickets to their favourite singer or performance of plays.
Another great gift for those that like to dine out  are gift cards to a restaurant. Perhaps a brunch or dinner to a special restaurant.

Same for movie lovers,  tickets to the movies or a set of DVDs of their favourite series, along with a popcorn machine for the movie nights.




Books are always a good choice and interesting , so whatever they like to read you can find. Whether its romance novels, mysteries or
travel , art  books. Nothing like a good book to read over the holidays!  What are your favourite books to rea
For the creative types , getting their hobby things will no doubt make them happy. A painter a set of brushed  and canvases ,   and so on.


More active types might like to try new activity. There are so many great classes to try out,   lessons in dance, zumba or tai chi,  yoga or pilates,  there are weekend only or drop in classes in many cities.


Any new courses that might be of interest , whether learning a new language, learning to cook asian or learning to draw, or a jewelry making class or just some of the things that might interest them.






There are many more great gift ideas to try-   a spa treatment, manicures for the girls on the list.  Guys might like tickets to a sporting event. And I know most girls and guys would love it!

 Truthfully all of the above would make me really happy.

Fashions at the Met The time is here to see the fabulous fashions that are from this years Met Gala  .Always aan eye popper and this year the theme was flowers botanical  looks.  Some very interesting creative fashions, especially if you love flowers.  My favorite look was Demi Moore’s  gorgeous gown  a really stunning dress.. Flying high // travel

B  Time to Fly   Sumer holidays are around the corner and deciding where to go or what to pack can e daunting experience.  So what to pack ? Well after reading how some airlines charge passenger to check the baggage. First I believe the budget airlines started , but now the big name ones have also started to charge it! American Airlines , southwest , Air Canada .  And the extra cost if is a jackpot for the airlines.  I have not travel with the budget lines but have used some of the others mentioned  and  I won’t be booking any trips with them!  Really what do they think? If the operate a service to transport you and your belongs  that should be included , NOT an extra expense.  Give you an idea of what they collect in these extra fees  then read this report via BBC.  Truthfully people need to tell these companies  NO .  Even a handbag is next to the list.   They are making BILLIONS from from these extra fees!...

THIS and THAT//fashion , festival

 Season Changes Well it has finally cooled down which makes it bearable to be outside. Naturally the swimming pools , lakes and rivers have seen plenty o people .  Festivals , Films  and Fashion  The festival season is winding down,  but one that I anxiously wait for is the Venice Film festival. A movie and fashion lover can’t miss it!  The return of Clooney on screen in  Venice with his gorgeous wife is a highlight.  Her fabulous fuchsia gown with the train was stunning . She stole the show!  Of course there were other stars on the red carpet  but no outstanding dresses .  Movies some are getting mentioned . For myself I’m not  sure what I be tempted to watch.  Julia  Roberts new one about college professor sexual harassment is a serious topic . Not light entertainment.  One film with Helen mirren, pierce Brosnan  about senior mystery book club sounds like light entertainment. The actors are all over 60 , s...
