OHHHHH CHRISTMAS TREE

I have always been pretty good at getting thing up and done before the holidays. But since moving here,, the one thing I noticed few people set up their decorations or trees to early. I am the sort as soon as December arrives or snows the TREE IS UP. I love to sit and admire the lights , have some hot chocolate and listen to christmas music. I figure why wait? Why go to all the work and setting up only the day before the 24th...... grrr. I really want to enjoy the holidays, and not have to rush to set up and then pull it down after such a short time.

Besides the tree there are always a few special treats to make. Some traditional ones like almond cookies and a special delicious donut . This year i have done neither, baked or set up the tree.

Well really there is a good reason, a few months ago I damaged my knee badly, standing walking is impossible and still have to wait another month to recover. So walking around on crutches and wearing a brace is not so great.

So I am beginning to feel the crunch, or panic. Its not CHRISTMAS without lights , trees and cookies!!!

Well this weekend, things will be on a roll. Time is ticking......

Fashions at the Met The time is here to see the fabulous fashions that are from this years Met Gala .Always aan eye popper and this year the theme was flowers botanical looks. Some very interesting creative fashions, especially if you love flowers. My favorite look was Demi Moore’s gorgeous gown a really stunning dress.. The bold big floral print on the dress was wow! I loved it! And she looked beautiful in it. The other gowns were lovely too. Men in floral print slacks to fun shoes . Something for everyone tastes. CASUAL SUMMER LOOK//fashion , styling

Doing Denim I sometimes like to wear something that is just more relaxed and comfortable. For some it might be a pair of shorts, but I like a dress. Whether long or short. I just them more comfortable and airy on hot summer days. Denim is one look I like . It’s a casual look that can be dressed up or down, just by changing the accessories you wear with it. Heels or sandal. Simple jewelry, watch or bracelets. There are so many ways to style a denim dress. A great tote to carry the necessary items, sandals and sunglasses I would add a nice colorful scarf for the hair or simply wear tied around the neck.

SPRING LOOK //Fashion , Style, Spring

Time for some color Finally the weather is warmer and can wear lighter clothes. I especially like to start the summer/spring with some color . One of my favorites is a colorful knit on I bought years ago , a Liz Clairborn design. It’s a piece that just say spring is here. After a long , cold winter of wearing mostly dark or muted shades it’s nice to bring out something bright a cheery.
